Synthesis of Micron-Sized NiAl/NiCoAl-Layered Double Hydroxides via a Facile Double Hydrolysis Dropping Method for Supercapacitor Applications

The transition metal-based layered double hydroxides (LDHs) for high-performance supercapacitor applications were synthesized by the hydrolysis dropping method. We found that sequence of cation and anion solutions has a strong influence on microstructural electrochemical properties LDHs. NiAl LDHs obtained Ni 2+ solution into AlO 2- have obvious structures with particle size order micrometers. They are different from those prepared conventional method hydrothermal specific capacity is about 615 C g −1 at 0.5 A , which almost twice sample traditional (339 ). It indicated performance improved Moreover, an excellent cyclic stability 83.3% capacitance retention after 1000 cycles 3 was achieved. In addition, trimetallic NiCoAl been successfully results showed addition Co effectively enhanced optimal display 990 . This work offers efficient facile route, without treatment or adscititious alkali sources, to fabricating boosting energy storage capabilities.
